Multi-read high frequency
Multi-read high frequency 13.56 MHz tags have become the defacto standard within the Textile Maintenance industry. A significant benefit of this is that any compliant chip can be read on the same equipment. The operator is no longer locked into a proprietary product available from one manufacturer.
ISO Compliant
All current RFID tags and RFID equipment supplied by Positek RFID are compliant. These standards provide assurances that your investment in RFID is good for the long term.
Read/Write Capabilities
ISO compliant RFID tags provide for the ability to write a limited amount of data to the chip. Each tag comes with a UID which is a unique 16 position alphanumeric code that cannot be changed.
Cost Effective
RF Tags typically last longer than their warranty making them useful for many garment lives. This reuse results in a cost per cleaning of approximately $.0035. Bar codes typically need to be replaced 1.5 times during a garments life.
No line of site needed
A significant benefit of RFID over bar code is that the chip does not need to be in a particular place to be read, it simply needs to pass through the field generated by the antenna. This benefit provides the ability to handle more garments per hour and read multiple garments at a time.
Available in two sizes – 16mm and 22mm
The 16mm tag provides a small tag that is easily placed into almost any article. The manufacturer warrants these for 5 years or 200 washings. The 22mm tag provides for a longer read range when needed. The manufacturer warrants these tags for 1 year.
