CA Sort for Garments
Soil Garment Sort
Sort, count, transport and weigh up to 2,000 uniforms an hour - with 100% accuracy!
In the time it typically takes just to sort soil, Automation Dynamic's, RFID-enabled Bullet Vac sorts, counts, weighs, and transfers soiled items for cleaning.
How it works... RFID tags in the articles are read as they pass through the Bullet Vac tube. By using data in your Route Accounting Software, the Bullet Vac sorts the articles by soil category. When the wash sling is full, a buzzer and light alert the operator to replace the sling.

Hanging Garment Sort
Sorting process is electronically driven by RFID with productivity up to 1500 pieces per hour
Positek RFID communicates with your existing Route Accounting Software or CA Track to create electronic lots. An electronic lot is a logical grouping of uniquely identified articles which may be garments, flat work, or any other item. The lots can be created from a soil count or can be created based upon a model that uses the history of what articles have been seen in the plant for the last x weeks. As garments are scanned at your existing presort system, which can be slick rails or conveyor, CA Sort will sort those articles into the appropriate lot. As each article's RFID tag is scanned at the sorting station, the operator is notified by a voice prompt and on the screen to place the article on the appropriate hook. If using a spider sort, a light also illuminates over the appropriate rail.
Flexible first and second sort options while eliminating a third sort
Positek's approach to the sort process is to use as much of the existing infrastructure as possible while obtaining optimal efficiency. The first sort can be completed on either a spider rail system or moving graduated hook conveyor system. The final sort can be completed on our 32 slot CA Sort Bay or on a graduated hook conveyor system. In either case, your final sort is at least twice as fast, error free.
Train any employee in minutes
The system is so easy to use that any employee can be trained to sort without lengthy training or supervision. No more trying to decode a man readable label and determine where to place the garment. The operator just scans each garment and places it on the appropriate rail or hook. The voice prompts are given in the language needed for the individual operator. Any changes or adjustments caused by holidays or weather are made by management. The simply continues to scan and hang.

Folded Garment Sort
Sorting process is electronically driven with RFID
No more looking at a man readable lable or trying to scan a bar code label on each garment coming to the operator at the sorting station. Simply move the garment past a RFID antenna, check the bin number displayed on the computer monitor mounted at the station and place the garment in the corresponding bin opening. The appropriate bin will also have a red light illuminated on the opening and a voice command will confirm the bin number in the language chosen for that operator.
Software is flexible to sort by wearer or size
Positek's CA Sort utilizes electronic batches to reduce the number of sorts needed. The final sort can be completed by person or size and the maximum number of pieces assigned to an individual bin can be controlled. Garments are sorted in delivery or reverse delivery order with no third sort.
Final sort results in articles sorted in delivery order
Presort can be completed with garments hanging or folded
If the garments do not need to be passed through the steam tunnel, CA Sort can perform the pre sort with folded garments or as the garments are folded. If the garments pass though the steam tunnel, the pre sort is performed while the garments are on the hanger.
Track bulk items to specific customers
Reduce merchandise costs by 20% to 25%
Due to a unique RFID tag being assinged to each article CA Sort can provide data to your route accounting system or to a CA Track that includes what specific bulk items are being delivered to a specifici account. This gives you the ability to charge and collect for loss and damage.
Reduce production costs by 25% to 50%
CA Sort for Folded Garments enables the laundry operator to complete the second and final sort with one touch. This results in a reduction in the number of personnel needed to complete the sorting process.
Bundle Verification
Verify what will be delivered to your customer
Positek RFID’s Bundle Reader and CA Verification Software gives you the confidence that you are returning the correct garments to each wearer. The software compares what was read at the first scanning station in your system to what is in each clean bundle ready for delivery to the customer. If the bundle is complete and contains the proper garments “Order Complete” is displayed on the monitor. If there is a discrepancy it is reflected on the monitor so it can be addressed.
Scan the entire bundle at once
With ISO compliant multi-read, high frequency (13.56 MHz) technology it is possible to read an entire bundle at once. ISO compliance allows you to read nearly any ISO 15693 high frequency tag making it a safe investment.
Read an entire bundle in seconds
A bundle with 11 pieces can be read in less than five seconds. The operator simply moves the bundle to the reader. If the order is complete it moves on. If it is incomplete or over the operator is notified and a discrepancy ticket is produced to assist in correcting the issue.
Verify 3000 pieces or more per hour
Productivity at the bundle reader is approximately 3,000 pieces per hour, including the processing of bundles with discrepancies and moving them out.
